I did it! I managed to merge my passions together to bring you this blog!
I grew up in sunny Florida spending half my childhood on a farm in the “Florida Highlands” and the rest of my childhood in the small rural town of Bushnell.
Ever since my middle and high school years, I always had a passion for writing and photography. I also loved spending my time outdoors in the woods, climbing trees, camping, or visiting some of my favorite places like St. Augustine, Rainbow River, and Manatee Springs.
Once they learn I am a Florida boy, most people always ask about Disney, Universal, and all the other major attractions. Well, as a true Floridian, I rarely went to those places mainly for the fact that it was always overrun by tourists! My joy was always visiting those hidden gems that only the locals knew about.
After living most of my life in Florida, I moved up to La Porte, Indiana with my fiancé and 5 children.
Here in La Porte, we continue to live our rural lifestyle and share our passions with our children. That’s when we discovered the endless gems to explore and visit throughout the northwest Indiana region.
This blog allows me to merge our love for photography, exploring, traveling, outdoors, and writing all into one outlet to let others enjoy the adventures we experience and help them plan their own adventures.
Just like most large families these days, we work full time and try to stay on a strict budget while still trying to spend quality time with the family. With this blog, we will show you how to do the same by helping you plan budget friendly day-trips, weekend trips, date nights, and other ways of spending quality time on a small budget while also working around a busy work schedule.
